GRADUATE STUDIES IN HISTORY, ARCHAEOLOGY & MUSEUM STUDIES AT U.B.

As of 2002-03 the Department of History at the University of Botswana offers the following graduate programmes:

• MA in History
• MPhil & PhD in History, Archaeology, or Museum Studies

In addition, from 2003-04 the Department expects to be offering the following graduate programmes:

• MA in Heritage Studies (Archaeology-based, in collaboration with the Universities of Dar es Salaam and Zimbabwe)
• MA in Museum Studies

The University of Botswana academic year is divided into two semesters. Semester I runs from August through November. Semester II runs from January through May. MA programmes usually begin in Semester I. Individual MPhil and PhD programmes can begin at any time in the year.
